Sir Tom Jones at Alnwick Castle

SIR Tom Jones, one of the UK’s favourite singing stars and long-standing coach on the hit TV series ‘The Voice,’ whose hits span six decades will play at Alnwick Castle this summer.

The concert, announced by event management company Loose Cannon Events who are bringing the singing sensation to the North-East, will be selling tickets from 9am on Monday (May 4).

“We are very excited that Sir Tom Jones will be playing at Alnwick Castle as it is the perfect setting for what promises to be an unforgettable and entertaining evening on August 8,” says events director Neil Winterbottom.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring such a world-class star to one of the North-East’s iconic settings and Alnwick Castle will provide a perfect backdrop. Sir Tom has a global fan base and attracts supporters of all ages and the concert will be the highlight of the summer in the North-East, attracting fans of all music tastes.”

With more than 100 million record sales, of which 36 songs were in the top 40, Sir Tom and his band will entertain crowds with a repertoire from a career that spans decades of popular music.

Tickets are available from ticketmaster.com and skiddle.com. Ticket prices start from £38.50 for the first release, £45 and £95 for a VIP ticket which includes private bar and toilets and an exclusive viewing area. Tickets are subject to a booking fee.
