THE crowd were awaiting in anticipation of one of Teesside's best live shows. The band have just released their new album The Mindsweep, and were bound to include these songs, but ensured favourites from Destabilize to Snnnakepit. were also on the set-list. Rou Reynolds proved his is an extremely talented musician by moving from synthesisers to guitar, trumpet, and acoustic piano.

The band's introduction involved intricate LED wires strung across the back of the stage, all leading into the bands logo like blood vessels pumping life through a mass of spinning lights. The darkened room resounded to a heartbeat as red colours shot through the LEDs ensuring the crowd erupted as the band came on.

I would put the impact of the lightshow in the top five of any shows I've seen. The amount of effort they put in is so full on that the only rival is ACDC, in 2010, at Download.

Even better Enter Shikari ensure their backing bands are of the same genre, with Fatherson displaying a Biffy Clyro/Mumford & Sons sound and make a great opener. Allusondrugs were a little bit rockier with a more Nirvana vibe, while Feed The Rhino prepared us for the chaos that was going to be unleashed.

Overall the show was incredible, with a stage performance from the headliners which could even blow the unbelievers away.
