TOKYO’S Taffy sound like a reincarnation of the likes of Transvision Vamp, Elastica and Echobelly.
The guitars distorted to the nth degree and the slightly daydreamy female vocals take me back to some of the halcyon days of my youth.
Now, I have to admit, they leave my ears ringing a little. They have a healthy following on the live scene and I can understand why. All that energy undoubtedly distils over the audience, making for a memorable shared experience.
