MANY of us have a lot of time for Kevin McCloud, not least because while he may be an ubersuccessful TV presenter and designer, he’s also an eco warrior who quite rightly squirms at the thought of all the valuable waste that is thrown away every day.
His two series of Man Made Home were proof that a little thought and a lot of hard work could turn scrap into something worthwhile. Now he’s at it again, as he challenges three designers to turn an Airbus A320 into hundreds of amazing new products. Their challenge is to find a new use for every part of the plane, leaving only an empty hangar behind them.
