A second ECM album by the sax/bass/drums trio of Mark Turner/Larry Grenadier/Jeff Ballard.
The last two also provide the rhythm for Brad Mehldau’s trio and clearly have a strong empathy with tenor player Turner.
The music is concentrated, focused on the ensemble with all three players tightly integrated.
