It's Christmas party time

THE 'C' word may prove difficult at the moment, but with the summer holidays over for most people, thoughts will soon be turning towards festive matters including the inevitable party night celebrations.

Spennymoor Leisure Centre is a well-established venue for December party nights and details have recently been announced of this year's events. It is fair to say that the line-up of live entertainment is a varied one with something to suit most tastes.

Tony Johnson's All Souled Up gets things underway in the Festive Banqueting Suite on the weekend of December 11 to12. The show features Motown hit singles including timeless classics from the likes of The Temptations, which remain as popular today as when they first hit the charts.

Top touring band Totally Take That hits town on December 18 with what many regard as the ultimate tribute to arguably the most successful boy band of all time. The show is packed with Take That chart hits in a production which is sure to delight the many fans of Gary Barlow and company.

The festivities conclude the following evening with Tribute to The Drifters, one of the biggest crowd-pullers on the touring circuit. The show includes all The Drifters' classics including Come On Over To My Place, There Goes My First Love, Saturday Night At The Movies and Save The Last Dance For Me to name but a few.

As well as live entertainment, the events also include three-course festive dining, a disco party until 12.30am with late bar until midnight. For bookings and further information, telephone AIR on 01388 814632.
