Darko - Sea of Trees
DARKO – Sea of Trees I’VE heard Darko referred to as Gaslight Anthem meets Iron Maiden and I couldn’t agree more.
The vocals, despite their ferocity at times, definitely bear more than a passing resemblance to the guys from New Jersey, while the guitar licks are reminiscent of the lads from the East End.
While there’s bags of energy contained within, it’s all released in a controlled manner, with the lyrics alternating between the spat out and the thoughtfully delivered. An impressive EP from a band who play Fibbers in York on August 29.
