IT’S another tough week for the Beales in EastEnders (BBC1), as the police inform Ian that Lucy’s mugging was staged and his daughter was most probably murdered by someone she knew.

The cops also reveal that Lucy was having an affair with a mystery man, so Ian immediately turns to a Walford resident with a track record for romancing Beale blondes – David.

He protests his innocence, but the accusations get him thinking about how oddly Max has been behaving lately. David confronts his fellow car salesman with his suspicions, and gives him an ultimatum – if Max doesn’t tell Ian about his relationship with Lucy, David will do it for him.

Meanwhile, as Lola discovers nasty comments on Lucy’s social networking site, Peter begins to realise how little he really knew about his twin sister, and it’s Lauren he turns to for support.

Sonia is upset when Martin cancels their date night, but finds consolation with Tina, much to Bianca’s disapproval.

Mick and Linda try to improve the Carters’ public image, Kat attends her perjury hearing, and Denise tells Patrick she’s leaving Walford, half expecting him to talk her out of it. So, when he gives her his blessing, will she go anyway?

Fiz grows jealous of Tyrone’s friendship with Maria in Coronation Street (ITV1), and the fact he showed the hairdresser another text from “Kirsty” before she had seen it.

A friendly hug in the Rovers leaves Fiz baying for blood when she gets the wrong end of the stick. Later, an apologetic Fiz invites Maria round for tea, but the return of Marcus rather scuppers that idea.

Elsewhere, Kal and Leanne’s relationship is endangered when the trainer winds up Nick. However, Mr Tilsley is fine and insists Kal join him and Leanne for dinner at the Bistro, oblivious to his trainer’s feelings for his wife. As their passions bubble over, Kal spends the night with Leanne, but has to hide next day when Nick comes round with a cinema flyer. After Leanne goes to the movies with her estranged husband, Eva tells her half-sister to come clean because she’s being unfair.

Meanwhile, Sally is stunned when Kevin dashes off to Germany leaving the girls alone.

Before long, Sophie and her girlfriend are arrested due to problems with Maddie’s brother, Ben.

And an insecure Sinead causes a scene at the Bistro when she has a dress-clash encounter with Katy.

Marlon is definitely bonding with his daughter April in Emmerdale (ITV1) – but is he getting a bit too close to her mum in the process?

That’s what Laurel suspects when she walks in on what looks like a very cosy chat between the former couple, little guessing that Donna is actually trying to summon up the courage to tell Marlon that she has a form of lung cancer.

It looks like the truth may come out when Rhona later spots Donna at the hospital, and the police officer admits that she’s just been told she might only have between six months and a year to live.

She begs Rhona not to say anything to Marlon just yet, but will the vet be able to keep something so huge to herself?

Elsewhere, bride-to-be Charity is even less excited about her wedding to Declan when she learns that Cain is tying the knot on the same day, but all this talk about marriage leaves Kerry desperate for an engagement ring from Dan.

The Spencers and the Dingles try to put a stop to Belle and Sean’s baby plan, Bernice makes a pass at Andy, Val arranges a date with bread man Tiny, and Alicia regrets lending her car to Leyla.
