Pianist Idil Biret makes a good case for the many varied pieces of music Hindemith wrote for piano with orchestral accompaniment. He is joined by harpists Olivia Coates and Chelsea Lane and the Yale Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Toshiyuki Shimada. The albums include his Theme with Four Variations (The Four Temperaments).
