THE London-based trio have produced a debut album that matches their contemporaries, but don’t expect the ten-track longplayer to be a romp: this is a miseryfest from start to finish. Full of upset, heartbreak and other isolating emotions, If You Leave may be dark, but is also positively addictive.
Youth epitomises the album, with its angst-filled lyrics, intricate guitar and drums flooding the listener – think Cat Power blended with Explosions In The Sky.
