ADMIRAL Taverns has recently sold the Shoulder of Mutton in Low Row, Easington.

The sale, to a southern-based developer, was arranged through the Leeds office of specialist leisure property agent, Fleurets.

The Shoulder of Mutton has an attractive location on the south side of Easington village green, which is fringed by established residential properties.

A large brick built property, which is part rendered and colour washed, the Shoulder of Mutton stands within a well-proportioned site extending to around a quarter of an acre.

“The Shoulder of Mutton attracted interest from prospective purchasers for a range of potential uses,” said Nick Thomas of Fleurets.

“This included those looking at existing use together with developers and investors, and those looking at alternative retail and residential development of the site.

“The pub was sold within two weeks.

“The purchasers, a Cambridgeshire-based developer, plans to develop the site for residential use.”

The Shoulder of Mutton was sold for an undisclosed sum and offers were invited for the freehold.
