A CAR parts maker is working with German students to give them an insight into the industry.
Nifco UK, in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton, welcomed Bianca Meffert and Samuel Baglio from Siemens AG Energy Sector.
The pair, a technical product designer and electrical designer respectively, are part of a group of 25 second-year apprentices who are based in the Darlington area to improve their English in work.
Mike Matthews MBE, Nifco UK’s European operations officer and managing director, said: “Sharing best practice is something I really do believe is crucial in any industry.
“That’s why we’re excited to work with the students to ensure benefit for both parties.”
Nifco makes millions of plastic products from door handles to cup holders for almost every make of vehicle on UK roads, including Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and Honda.
Earlier this year, The Northern Echo revealed Nifco UK could open a third factory as bosses anticipate continued rising demand for the rest of the decade.
