LAW firm Gordon Brown, has appointed Andrea Hanna as associate solicitor of the firm.

Following ten years’ experience in conveyancing, Mrs Hanna, 34, has risen through the ranks at Gordon Brown Law Firm, which has offices in Newcastle and Chester le Street.

She first joined Gordon Brown in 2008 to concentrate on conveyancing after training in criminal defence, property and probate. Her role involves managing a team of five solicitors and legal executives, maintaining relationships with referrers and assisting with the development of the conveyancing department.

She said: “After getting in touch with Gordon Brown and the team, I knew straight away it was one that I wanted to be a part of. They are a forward-thinking firm with a solid structure in place.

“I have now been practicing conveyancing for 11 years and have subsequently gained experience in all types of property transactions including more technical transactions and high net worth properties. However, I do continuously build on my knowledge and experience through working in such a diverse, successful department.

“Since Kathryn Taylor became managing partner, the company is really picking up speed in the right direction at every level from the structure of each department, to training staff and putting processes in place to streamline new and existing business. The whole experience is better from both a client and employee perspective.”

“I love the fast pace of the job, dealing with clients on a one to one basis and providing the best possible service. It’s great to see my team develop and grow, and hear the positive feedback from the clients praising excellent practice.”

Managing partner Kathryn Taylor said: “Andrea is a credit to the whole team at Gordon Brown and her new role is testimony to her hard work and dedication. We look forward to watching Andrea develop and flourish as associate, and wish her every success.”
