A SOLICITORS has welcomed a new member of staff to lead its family team.

Elizabeth Gallacher has joined Macks, which has offices in Darlington, Middlesbrough and Redcar.

Ms Gallacher, who has 25 years’ experience of practising in Newcastle, grew up in the region.

Bosses say she is one of the few collaboratively trained practitioners and an active member of Resolution, a national organisation comprising more than 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals.

She is also Secretary of the Executive Committee of the North East Collaborative Pod, and has spent more than ten years sitting on the Board of Relate, Northumberland and Tyneside.

She said: “One of the reasons I’m looking forward to working at Macks is the team approach.

“It seems to have retained a family-type ethos, while adapting to the changing legal landscape and punching above its weight in terms of personnel employed and the quality and variety of work undertaken.

“I’ve been very impressed by the friendly, supportive and absolutely professional attitude of everyone in the team.”

Nicholas Mack, founder of Macks, added: “Elizabeth is a leading family law practitioner in the North-East and will further enhance the quality and depth of expertise in our team.

“Importantly, not only is Elizabeth an outstanding family lawyer with a breadth of experience, she is friendly and approachable.

“I’m therefore confident she will be able to provide exceptional client care.”
