NEW businesses can be up and running with a prestigious office address from the outset thanks to a new scheme being launched by The Wilton Centre.

From July 1, the centre, located ten minutes from Middlesbrough, is offering a shared workspace package designed to help people starting out in business.

Businesses will be able to rent a dedicated area equipped with a desk, chair, filing cabinet, telephone and internet access within a shared room occupied by likeminded people.

Not only will the new enterprise benefit from using a recognised business address, it will also be offered support facilities by the Wilton Centre including a fully-staffed reception, restaurant/ cafe and free parking.

Accommodation manager, Steve Duffield, said the aim was to help businesses looking for a base to start up in that will enable them to operate as professionally as possible from the word go.

The current climate is challenging enough for anybody starting a business without them having to worry about finding decent premises to work from,” he added.

“It’s all very well running a business from your back bedroom but being based somewhere as respected as the Wilton Centre means you have somewhere appropriate to meet clients and customers and also to add credibility to your office address.”

The Wilton Centre is well known as a leading location for innovation and technology.

In addition to a full range of laboratory and pilot plant accommodation, the centre offers a wide array of office space.

Set in a 75-acre landscaped park, it is currently home to over 40 companies, from small businesses to prestigious multinationals.

Steve said: “We have already had interest in this new package.

It is unusual for businesses starting out to be given the opportunity to set up in premises alongside leading industrial conglomerates, so we are expecting many more enquiries now we have formally announced it.”

The centre also offers terms for businesses starting out with two or more employees.
