A NORTH-EAST training provider has marked the graduation of another group of youngsters.

Baltic Training Services, in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, says its trainees successfully completed a two-week induction followed by eight-week work experience placements.

Matthew Tate, 17, was one of the graduates, and says he is eager to finish his training with Thorn Lighting, in Spennymoor.

He said: “The traineeship programme has really built up my confidence and prepared me for beginning work.

“I am really grateful for the start it has given me and ready for my work experience.”

Steven Watson, group coach and mentor, said he was proud of the trainees.

He added: “It’s been great to work with these young people because you see them change dramatically in such a short space of time.

“Their commitment and enthusiasm was fantastic and they really have grown in confidence and gained the skills needed for adult life and the working world.”
