A BUILDING compliance firm has moved to larger headquarters to keep pace with growing demand.
Eton Environmental Group is now based at Trinity Court, on Darlington’s Faverdale Industrial Estate, having outgrown a site on the town’s Grange Road.
Bosses say the move will help its 20-strong head office team continue plotting the business’ growth.
Founded by Joanna and Christian Shaefer in 2004 to provide asbestos survey and management services, the firm has added fire risk assessments, energy performance certificates and legionella risk assessments to its portfolio.
It has also introduced pigeon dropping removal and lead paint surveys, with its clients including Pizza Hut, River Island and Capita.
Ms Shaefer said: “We had outgrown our office in Grange Road and our new premises are three times the size.
“It provides more room for our head office staff, as well as our surveyors, who visit regularly to drop off samples at our in-house laboratory and receive new assignments.
“We have satellite offices in Bury, Birmingham and Windsor, but our Darlington office is the real hub and having larger premises will enable us to continue the growth of the company.”
Ms Shaefer said the firm was benefiting from companies’ increasing awareness of their duties.
She added: “Businesses and organisations are, more than ever, aware of the legal responsibilities they have to their tenants, staff or anyone else who enters a building they own.
"As one of the UK’s leading building compliance companies, we are in a strong position to meet this demand.”
