Who’s behind VentureFest Tees Valley?

The latest addition to a national family of events, VentureFest Tees Valley builds on the success of a trial event, Innovate Tees Valley Festival, which attracted 260 delegates to the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough in 2016 and showcased the wealth of innovation taking place in the area.

The team that delivered the festival are now taking the event to the national stage, working with founding partners Tees Valley Combined Authority and Innovate Tees Valley – the innovation support programme run by Teesside University, NEPIC, the Materials Processing Institute, and Digital City.

The government’s Knowledge Transfer Network has now welcomed Tees Valley as the latest addition to its UK network of VentureFest events – throwing a national spotlight on the area and its businesses.

The event programme has been developed with the ideas and input of a wide range of organisations with extensive experience of supporting innovative businesses.

The event receives funding from the £6.5m Innovate Tees Valley programme and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
