A MOTHER and former teacher has achieved her dream of moving into the business world after opening a bridal boutique.
Lucy Mallam, 28, worked with social enterprise Five Lamps, based in Thornaby, near Stockton, and received funding from the Government's Start-Up Loan fund to start her venture, Belle Amore.
Mrs Mallam received support from Five Lamps' advisor, Deborah Shanley, and produced a business plan for her Billingham-based venture to secure the Government cash, which sells pre-loved designer gowns.
She said: “Without help from Five Lamps and the Start Up Loan funding, I could never have started.
“I love spending my time helping people make their special day perfect.”
