A COMMERCIAL law firm has made new appointments to strengthen its team.

Mincoffs has welcomed Robyn Shepherd, originally from Darlington, as a solicitor in its dispute resolution team.

The 25-year-old studied law at the University of Manchester and the legal practice course at the College of Law.

The Newcastle firm has also appointed Jonathan Smith as a solicitor after he completed his training at another company in the city.

Bosses say he will support Mincoffs’ corporate and commercial teams.

The firm’s other appointments are trainee solicitor Rebecca Logan; Chris Hughes, who has qualified as a solicitor in the corporate team; and University of Sunderland graduate Melissa Widdrington, who will join its graduate intern scheme as a marketing assistant.

Andy Woodhouse, Mincoffs’ chief executive, said: “These new appointments will bring fresh skills and even more experience and expertise to our teams.

“We are also pleased to support the University of Sunderland’s intern scheme and Melissa has already proven to be a great asset.”
