LEADING County Durham independent chartered surveyor and property agent Bradley Hall has demonstrated its confidence in the region’s property market by expanding into modern premises and announcing plans to create jobs.

During the next three years, Bradley Hall, which has taken over the site previously occupied by Barclays, in New Elvet, Durham City, intends to double its turnover, create at least a dozen jobs and expand its residential and commercial estate agency services.

The practice also plans to open its first Newcastle city centre site, in Grey Street.

Merging its two sites in Durham – Framwellgate and Old Elvet – Bradley Hall has relocated to a larger space and installed features such as chilled drinks cabinets stocked with champagne and flat screen monitors synonymous with high-end property agents in London.

Director Peter Bartley said: “This move, and coming together of our two successful sites across Durham, represents our confidence in the property market in the city and wider Durham area.

“We intend to grow further by investing in our people and continuing to offer our personal service.

“Nobody knows the Durham property market as intimately as we do.”

Despite the economic downturn, the practice has strengthened its management team and this year saw group profits rise by 30 per cent.
