A WEB design business is looking to expand after winning a Government contract only two years after setting up in a North-East bedroom.
Michael Peacock and Richard Carter started their business, Peacock Carter, while studying at Durham University, where they met while competing to build universitybased websites.
By going into business together, Mr Peacock specialised in programming with Mr Carter concentrating on design. After winning a number of projects in the region, the pair expanded beyond their Durham bedrooms into the Design Works building, in Felling, Gateshead.
Now, two years on, Peacock Carter has won its biggest deal, securing a national contract to provide Wiki technology for the Governmentfunded websites, NHS Choices, businesslink.gov.uk and Directgov Mr Peacock said: “Winning this sizeable project is a great testament to our expertise.”
