A CONSTRUCTION company yesterday announced plans for more than £27m-worth of housing projects in the Tees Valley and County Durham.
Southdale will build the social developments in Middlesbrough, Redcar, Darlington and Consett.
The Yorkshire-based firm, which has a regional office in Darlington, announced last year that it was aiming to substantially increase its schemes in the North-East.
It includes social housing developments in Beaumont Hill, Darlington, valued at £11m, Westfield, Redcar, valued at £12.5m, and Castledene Road, Consett, valued at £1m.
It has also announced construction of the Acklam Green Community Centre, in Middlesbrough, valued at £2.7m.
Southdale managing director Paul Moore said: “This contract will rubber stamp our continued growth, increased market share in the North-East and our strategic ambitions for the business over the next six to 12 months.”
