A NORTH-EAST cosmetic treatment company has struck a deal with the spa chain founded by entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne to create clinics within the group’s luxury venues.
Collagenics North-East will provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments in Bannatyne Spas across the UK, with nine initially offering such procedures – including the one in Darlington – with a view to it being rolled out further.
It is the first time the spas, founded by North-East based Mr Bannatyne, star of Dragons’ Den, have offered such treatments.
The Darlington-based company, which has seen a significant rise in demand for its procedures despite the economic downturn, described the contract with Bannatyne Spas as being “significant”
and said it would be a key in its target of raising this year’s turnover by up to 25 per cent.
And it comes as the second major boost to Collagenics North-East in a few months, after it signed a deal to bring treatments like Botox to shoppers.
Through forming a partnership with skin specialist DestinationSkin, many of whose salons are found within House of Fraser stores, Collagenics North-East will help to create the UK’s first instore aesthetic treatment clinics.
In the spa and store clinics – which will both be staffed by Collagenics North-East practitioners, all trained medical professionals – treatments, including skin rejuvenation peels, Botox, thread vein removal and lip enhancements, will all be on offer.
The spa clinics will initially be held once a month, and the in-store clinics once a week, but both could be altered subject to demand.
Bryan McCourt, director of Collagenics North-East, said: “This is such an exciting time for our brand and we are delighted to be working with the Bannatyne Spas. We believe that this partnership is a natural progression for us and marks the start of a new era for our business.”
Justin Musgrove, Bannatyne Group spa director, said the deal comes as a boost to both companies, adding: “We are operating in a competitive market place, but our spas continue to trade well.
The partnership with Collagenics North-East and the introduction of these treatments is a key element of our long-term plan to enhance and expand what the spa is offering.”
“We are always striving to continue to be at the forefront of the industry and to provide our visitors with the latest, most advanced treatments.
“Along with our comprehensive range of beauty, relaxation and maintenance treatments, the introduction of Collagenics means we are able to offer visitors the ultimate spa experience and we will be monitoring demand very closely.”
