WHEN car dealership sales manager Trevor Seal went out on his own in business he decided to make it a real family enterprise.

Searching for a name for his business that sources commercial vehicles to customers' specifications, he had to look no further than his two daughters, Jamie, aged six, and Amber, four.

Mr Seal, from Appleton Wiske in North Yorkshire, came up with the name Jamber Trade Solutions and has set about building up the business, using contacts and knowledge acquired over 16 years in the industry.

Mr Seal said: "I really think there is an opening in the market and I can make this work.

"I believe that if you are right with people, you get your rewards. It is trust - I want people to be able to ring up and say I want this vehicle, with this mileage, in this colour', and know they can trust us.

"If I distributed a vehicle to someone and it wasn't what I said it was, I wouldn't expect them to take it."

Mr Seal left Holiways Ford, where he was group sales manager, two months ago to go out on his own.

Prior to that, the married 35- year-old worked for Jennings Ford for 14 years.

He said: "It is not as if you are buying blind - I trust the people I am buying from.

"I thought I could make a business out of this and we could save people money."

As well as sourcing vehicles Mr Seal can provide a signwriting and accessories service, so the vehicle arrives exactly as the customer wants it.

He can also arrange funding and motor insurance.
