PEOPLE in Bishop Auckland are invited to help shape the future of the town centre as the second phase of a major consultation gets underway.
The Brighter Bishop Auckland Partnership is developing a masterplan for the area and is asking residents, businesses and other groups for their views on its initial suggestions.
It follows a consultation last year which kicked off the process of creating the masterplan by establishing priorities for the future.
More information about the outline proposals will be available at a drop-in session which takes place at Bishop Auckland Town Hall between 4pm and 7pm today.
Officers involved in the initiative will be on hand to talk about it and answer any questions.
A survey is also online until Monday, 20 August, with paper copies available at locations in the town including the Town Hall and Four Clocks Centre.
Cllr Carl Marshall, of Durham County Council, said: “This will help us gauge how well we are addressing the community’s priorities within the masterplan.”
