A NORTH-EAST brewer has continued to strengthen its business after signing a deal with a recycling firm.
Camerons, in Hartlepool, recently revealed a new corporate identity and cask brands, and is now working with J&B Recycling, also in Hartlepool.
The firm will manage all of Camerons’ waste, including drums and tins containing hop extracts, to stop it being taken to landfill sites.
Martin Dutoy, Camerons’ director of packaging and brewing, said: “Things were not as efficient as they could have been and we certainly weren’t recycling as much as we could.
“I’m delighted to be working with a local company on our doorstep because that reduces our environmental impact.”
Vikki Jackson-Smith, J&B managing director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Camerons because they are such a well-known North- East brand.”
