PIERCE Reita LRAM ALCM February 12, of Ferryhill aged 92 years. Devoted wife of Ken, loving mam of Malcolm, dear nanna and great-nanna. Family and friends please meet for service at Ferryhill Methodist Church on Tuesday February 27, at 2.15pm, followed by cremation at Wear Valley Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Alzheimer's Society.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs Pierce, I have many memories of her organising school productions and escorting the rabble of adolescents on school trips abroad from the Avenue Comprehensive. She was a dedicated teacher, and I'm sure she touched many lives in a positive way. Thankyou Mrs Pierce, and God Bless xx

Sad to hear of Mrs Pierce passing away -she was a wonderful teacher -we studied Joseph and his Technicolor Coat for our GCSE and she encouraged me to play the trombone -(I dont know if my nieghbours enjoyed me bellowing out 'Potifar had very few cares' or trombone practice from my bedroom lol -I totally enjoyed her lessons her enthusiasm was infectious- Im sure she has helped thousands of children enjoy music wether -createing playing singing or listening - I hope she enjoyed her retirement and fulfilled her life wishes - condolences to her family and friends -- move over Archangel your choir of angels has a new conductor! RIP Mrs Pierce xx

Saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs Pierce. She was a source of great encouragement to me and many other musical pupils at The Avenue Comprehensive. Many fond memories of the musicals that she produced and directed. My condolences to her family.
