MAKULA Pauline Makula, late of Ferryhill, passed away on November 5, 2017 at Moorlands Residential Care Home, Darlington at age 90. Pauline was a quiet, peaceful person who liked gardening and going for long walks. Pauline attended Durham College and was employed by Dorman Long Co., the National Coal Board and then the Tees-side Water Board until her retirement as Secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband Mietek who was employed as a diesel mechanic by Darlington Corp. and is survived by her brother Desmond Patterson and his wife Eva-Maria, and family of Chicago, USA. Other surviving relatives are Maureen Thomas of West Parley, Dorset and Catherine and Bill Ziegler of New York, USA. Pauline will be missed. A small service will be held in Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday, November 15 at 1.15pm. All enquiries to Whitehouse Funeral Service. Darlington.
