SHUTTLEWORTH On May 16 (in hospital following a progressive illness) of Peterhouse Close, Darlington. Eric, aged 88 years (born in Wolsingham, County Durham). Husband of the late Dorothy Shuttleworth (nee Spencer of Darlington), father of Raymond, Alan and Julia with four grandchildren Jill, Jonathan, Emma and Samuel and three great-grandchildren Emma, Matthew and Pearl. A retired college lecturer. Until very recently an active member of the Co-operative Party, Labour Party member all of his adult life and former Darlington Town Councillor. Will family and friends please meet for a service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, May 30, at 1.15p.m. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired may be made to St. Teresas Hospice. A plate will be provided at the crematorium.
