BRUCE July 14, suddenly in Cambridge, Michael aged 37 years, formerly of Kirk Merrington. Beloved son of Hazel and Ian, devoted brother of Anthony, much loved brother-in-law to Joanne, dear stepson of Wendy, a much loved and loving uncle of Lauren and Mitchell, also a nephew, cousin and good friend. Will friends please meet for service in the chapel at the College of St. Hild and St. Bede, Durham City, on Thursday, July 28, at 2.00p.m., followed by family cremation in Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Michael can be left at the chapel for a charity close to Michael's heart, The Hild and Bede S.C.R.

Not sure if this message will get through - but I've only just learned the very sad news mate. I'm devastated that this has happened - and I'm so sorry I wasn't aware to attend your funeral. You were probably my first ever friend when we lived in Wood Lane - and although we hadn't talked for years I often thought about you. We had some laughs mate - fig truffles and toilet rolls down the stairs!!! I always remember you giving me your Scotland goalkeeper top when I started playing for Ferryhill Comp...
