GARGETT June 17, suddenly at home, in Ferryhill, Joe, aged 75 years. Beloved husband of the late Lily, much loved dad of Marie and Julie, loving granda and great-granda, dear father-in-law of Stephen and Michael. Family and friends please meet for service at St. Luke's Church, Ferryhill, on Wednesday, June 29 at 11.10a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

I am so sorry to hear about Joe I have only just found out .
I was Joe's General Foreman at Costain's then llingworth's and finally at Clugston Construction , when he finished to look after Lil . Joe was a gentleman in the true sense of the word , we had many a laugh and after meeting my mam once he all ways asked after her, sadly she passed away also in July last year also . Joe was the best Civil Engineering man I ever had work on my sites all over the North East but above all a good friend and I will all ways remember him kneeling down on one knee to roll a tab!
Cheers Joe you were one in a million ! I only wish I could have seen him after he packed in at Clugston,s Joe would never be beat on Earthworks and drainage but would all ways say to me " Andy I hate concrete ! "
