DARLINGTON MOWDEN PARK head to relegation-threatened Cambridge for their penultimate away game of the National One season.

Danny Brown’s side ran league leaders Ampthill close last weekend, and will be looking to end the season strongly after forcing their way into the top six since the turn of the year.

Brown has made four changes for the trip south, with all the alterations coming in the pack. Jordon Poole and Ralph Appleby both return to start in the front row, where they will join Alfie Barron.

Talite Vaioleti starts alongside last weekend’s Man of the Match, Joe Craggs, at lock, while Dave Fisher returns to the matchday squad to start on the blindside flank. George Stokes and Ollie Hodgson round off the pack in the back row.

Mowden’s backline remains unchanged, with Matt Dudman and Warren Seals continuing their partnership at half-back and Ben Frankland retaining his place in the centre after scoring a brace of tries last weekend.

Amongst the replacements, there is a return for prop Scott Westwood, who provides front-row cover alongside Jake Brady and Matt Heaton. Scrum-half Maia Gibbs also returns, with Shaun McCartney offering another option in the backs.

Darlington Mowden Park Sharks are also on the road as they round off their Tyrrells Premier 15s season at Worcester Valkyries, the team currently propping up the table.

Sharks head of programme, Justin Loveridge, has made four changes to the team that lost to Harlequins last weekend, with two of the alterations coming in the pack.

Lisa Cockburn returns to start at loose-head, with Elle Bloor continuing at hooker and Charlie Lewis completing the front row. Jaz Bell returns in the second row to join Gemma Reynard, while Rianna Mason starts in the back row alongside Abby Crowther and Kat Hobson, who will maintain her record of having started every league game this season.

The two changes in the backline come in the back three, with Fiona Dewar and Kenny Thomas joining Lindsay Jordan. Linzi Taylor and Rachael Woosey continue in the centres.
