Bishop Auckland climbed back into second place in the ENL when they won 5-2 at Ryhope CW last night.

Ryhope took the lead in the opening minute when Vinny Ellis fired past Nick Liversedge, but Bishops levelled on 6 minutes when Callum Patton found the corner from the penalty spot after Andy Johnson was fouled.

Patton put Bishops into the lead after Shaun Ryder’s shot was blocked and the ball ran for him, but just on half time, Micky Rae equalised.

Bishops went back in front at the start of the second half when Johnson scored with a superb overhead kick, then they made it 4-2 when Chris Winn made a great run and set up Kyle Fryatt to roll the ball home. In the last minute, Chris Salmon finished off a good move with a shot that went in off the post.

Dunston UTS drew 2-2 with North Shields to maintain their unbeaten record after being 2-0 down at one stage.
