Bishop Auckland were denied the chance to go second in the ENL by a floodlight failure at Penrith tonight.

Bishops were 2-0 up and cruising, but the floodlights went out on the stroke of half time, and the referee abandoned the game.

Bishops took the lead after 14 minutes when Andy Johnson ran into the box and fired home, then Kyle Patton tapped in the second after Kyle Fryatt’s shot had been parried.

Callum Patton then had a penalty saved after Kyle Patton was fouled.
