Bishop Auckland just got the better of Tow Law in a penalty shootout in the Durham Challenge Cup tonight.

Bishops took the lead after 5 minutes when Scott Oldfield put through his own goal, but Lawyers fought back and levelled through Scott Lowery on 66 minutes.

But Bishops kept their cool to win the shootout 5-3.

Newton Aycliffe and Willington drew 0-0 in their tie, with Aycliffe winning 5-3 on penalties.

Esh Winning had a good 2-0 away win at Washington, Jayven Redman and Tony Boakes scored twice in three minutes in the first half.

In the EvoStik League Cup, Marske came from behind to beat North Ferriby 3-1.

Ferriby took an early lead courtesy of a Marske mistake, but Damien Stevens equalised when he lobbed the keeper on 35 minutes.

Craig Gott put Marske into the lead from the penalty spot, then Jamie Owens curled one home from 20 yards for the third.

Morpeth were comfortable 4-1 winners at South Shields, while Junior Mondal scored a late winner for Whitby at Pickering.
