Bishop Auckland overcame the loss of two men through red cards to salvage a point at home to Guisborough in a 3-3 draw tonight.

Guisborough took the lead after just 25 seconds, when Nathan Steel fired in off the post from the corner of the box, but Bishops levelled with a great 25 yarder by Callum Patton through a crowd of players.

Shaun Ryder then produced an equally good finish to put Bishops in front, but Steel levelled for Guisborough from the spot.

Ryder then received his second yellow to reduce Bishops to ten men before half time, and on 64 minutes Lee Bythway put Guisborough in front with his 300th goal for the club.

Bishops then had another man, Lewis Gibbons, sent off for foul and abusive language, and their mood wasn’t helped when they had an equaliser disallowed. However, Patton pounced to equalise when a Michael Hoganson shot was parried.

Dunston went back to the top of the table with a 3-1 home win over Seaham Red Star.

In the second division, Willington just managed to hold on for a 3-2 win over Heaton Stannington at Hall Lane.

Willington had a great first half, scoring through Nathan Plews, Robbie Shields and Conor Winter, but Heaton pulled two goals back in the second half through Shane Jones and Jonathan Wright.

Northallerton easily beat Brandon 4-0 at Ainderby Road. Former Darlington striker Kerry Hedley scored a hat trick in the first 40 minutes with Nicky Martin adding a fourth, all the goals coming in the first half.

Crook Town fought back with ten men to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Redcar Athletic.

Redcar led 2-0 at one stage with goals by Sam Webster and Lee Farrington, but even though they had Phil Caley dismissed Crook came storming back with goals by Morgan Claydon and Chris Dunwell.

Esh Winning were held to a 3-3 draw at home by West Allotment.
