West Auckland were beaten 2-1 at Blyth AFC after taking the lead in the EBAC Northern League tonight.

West took the lead on 59 minutes when Amar Purewal was brought down, and Nathan Fisher scored from the spot.

But Blyth levelled on 72 minutes with a deflected shot by Craig McFarlane, and then they won it in the last minute through David Robinson off a corner.

Former Darlington assistant manager Brian Atkinson has joined West’s management team.

Billingham Synthonia lost 4-0 at home to Barnoldswick , after going an early goal down to a penalty.

Seaham Red Star beat Heaton Stannington 4-2 on penalties after the sides drew 4-4 after extra time.
