A SEASON that started with disappointing results culminated in the highest league position for years and several trophies for Billingham Stars U14'sJunior Ice Hockey Club.
After starting with three defeats, the u14's lost only two of their next 15 games finishing in fourth place in the league. They took their good form into Scotland, finishing runners up in the Hockey UK Tournament in Kirkaldy while becoming champions in the prestigious North Ayr Tournament.
Following this success the team went into their home tournament at Billingham full of confidence and did not disappoint coming away victorious sweeping aside teams from North Ayr, Sheffield and Sutton.
James Hellens was awarded 'AllStar' defenceman awards at both Ayr and Billingham while his fellow Billingham and England forward Ethan Hehir gained the 'All Star' forward award at Billingham
