CATTERICK GOLF CLUB annual club championship was held in near perfect conditions and with a strong entry.

Ian Doughty was the overall winner with a two-round total of 150, one shot ahead of second place George Catterall. Ian last won the club championship in 2013 having previously won it continuously from 1989 to 1993.

The Chris Carveth Memorial trophy awarded to the best net score was won by Steve May scoring gross 84 and 79, net 143. Mike Dines came second scoring 78 and 78, net 144.

Pro medal: 1st Jeevan Kumar Rai (11) net 73, 2nd Bel Gurung (14) net 74, 3rd Gyan Dhenga (6) net 76.

The winning team of the Toyota Trophy 3 man Texas Scramble was Bishnu Thapa, Gyan Dhenga and Raju Roka 60.4, 2nd Gareth Harris, Ian Doughty and Andy Lincoln 61.4, 3rd Chris Haxell, Jim Goldie and Mike Dornan 62.4

The Rabbits Cup was won by Daniel Holmes (22) net 66, 2nd Raju Dura (20) net 69, 3rd Bikash Subba (16) net 70

Captain David Wright thanked all the members who participated in the treasure hunt at the weekend and supported the raffle raising £174.63 for Cancer Research UK.

The ladies medal was postponed due to heavy rain.
