Richmond Motor Club. Awards Evening, Wensleydale Rugby Club, Friday

OVER 100 competitors, officials and guests converged on the Wensleydale Rugby Club pavilion for the annual end of season social evening and awards function.

Over forty competitors were presented with awards associated with five major trials and 20 other events. Due to weather conditions and fire risks the Reeth Three Day Trial was cancelled along with four other events. The two national trials, The Mintex Youth Trial and Scott Trial ran on schedule. The annual Cogden Hall Training School attracted many girls and boys. The two day fixture grows in stature every year. The Club undertook the staging of virtually a trial every fortnight and that demanded total dedication from an army of volunteers. The Richmond Motor Club also channelled their combined activities in the direction of charitable causes donating money to many local organisation. The awards evening was planned and executed by the Social Secretaries Sally Dent and Anne Weatherill. The Awards Co-ordinator was Vicky Andrew who masterminded the huge display of trophies.
