MOULTON driver Peter Herbert celebrated his seventieth birthday by securing a class win in the Leaders Hillclimb Championship at Loton Park in Shropshire last weekend.

This class based speed series runs parallel to the British Hillclimb Championship that is dominated by single seater racing cars with up to 700 bhp, with rounds held throughout England and Scotland. Peter’s 26 year old 300 bhp Porsche 911 ran in the over 2 litre Modified Road Going class, and was driven to and from all the events in which it competed. The car’s reliability reflects its expert preparation by Simon Dawes of QSP in Ferryhill.
