Ryhope CW possibly said farewell to the Northern League with a 5-2 away win at Tow Law last night.
Ryhope are under threat of relegation to the Wearside League if the FA decide that their ground isn’t up to standard, and they completed the season by finishing second in division two and scoring in every league game they played.
Jonny Butler scored four times to give him 56 league goals for the season, with Michael Trewick scoring the other. Lawyers led 2-1 at one stage with goals by Robert Hurton and Danny Wilson.
Bishop Auckland won 2-0 at Norton in the first division. Jamie Harwood put them in front two minutes after half time, and after Dan Hawkins hit the post, Harwood headed the second from a corner.
