Bishop Auckland missed a chance to go into the top six of the ENL First Division when they lost 3-2 at home to Durham City last night.
Both teams hit the bar in the first half, before Bishops took the lead through Andy Johnson after 71 minutes from a Dion Raitt pass. City levelled with five minutes left when the referee ruled that Dion Raitt charged down an effort on goal with his arms, and Olly Hotchkiss scored from the spot.
Mark Baitey then scored from close range, and in the first minute of stoppage time, Ian Ward chipped Peter Jeffries for the third. Jamie Harwood pulled one back straight after the resumption, but Bishops ran out of time.
In the second division, Tow Law easily won 5-0 at Ryton and Crawcrook, with goals by Luke Parkinson (2), Adam Robinson, Scott Brassell and Lewis Harrison.
Chester-le-Street won 2-0 at North Shields, with goals by Michael Robson and Ian Davison after 31 and 40 minutes in the first half.
In the North Riding Senior Cup final, Marske lost 3-0 against Pickering, the visitors scoring three times in the second half.
