YORKSHIRE will start the 2019 Specsavers County Championship season with an away game at Nottinghamshire.

The fixtures for the new campaign are released today, with Durham heading to Trent Bridge to start a four-day game on April 5.

The county's first home game in Division One of the County Championship does not arrive until May 27, and pits them against Hampshire, with a change to the structure of the domestic season seeing a large chunk of Championship matches scheduled between May and July, to coincide with England hosting the Cricket World Cup.

Yorkshire's Championship campaign ends with an away game at Warwickshire, starting on September 23.

To prevent one-day action clashing with the World Cup, the Royal London One-Day Cup tournament will be squeezed into an early-season slot in April and May.

Yorkshire's first one-day game of the new season sees them host Leicestershire on April 17, and their final Royal London group game sees them host Durham at Headingley on May 6.

Yorkshire have also confirmed one game at York and two at Scarborough. The four-day Championship game against Warwickshire, starting on June 17, will be staged at York, while Scarborough will host the Championship matches against Surrey (June 30) and Nottinghamshire (August 18).

The schedule for next year's Vitality Blast T20 competition will be released at 5pm this afternoon.
