Stockton play Dukes ECB North-East Regional Premier League champions Chester-le-Street.

Skipper Kevin Ward said: “The team is at full strength with George Harding returning from his Durham duties, as does Brett Roberts after a hamstring injury.

“The side is full of confidence and always fancies its chances against all opposition. The Chester-le-Street fixture is always keenly anticipated, but with optimism that a good result can be achieved.”

Chester-le-Street are at full strength with Stephen Cantwell returning. Skipper John Coxon said: “They are a good side Stockton and play very competitively, but we will go into the game looking to win and gain some momentum, and try to get a really good run going, for the rest of the season, like we did last season.”

The Durham Cricket Academy in fourth, travel to Roseworth Terrace to play league leaders South Northumberland and home skipper Adam Clegg said: “Tom Hodnett is out due to his University commitments. Michael Craigs replaces him, along with his brother Johnny, who returns to the team to replace James Hutton.”

Hetton Lyons have only lost once this season and welcome Tynemouth, a place below them in the league, to Lilywhite Terrace.

Skipper Jarvis Clay said: “The team is unchanged even though there has been too many draws of late. Winning is a better option and the team needs to better in its all-round performances, in order to attain that goal!”

The home side are at full-strength apart from Will Gidman, who is likely to be with Kent.

Fixture secretary Iain Bestford said: “The team is very confident and are in great form and we have our skipper Martin Hubber back in place. The team are feeling good and hope to continue our 28 unbeaten league run intact.”

Brandon in third, host Seaham Harbour and skipper Chris Peareth commented: “We have one change, with Nathan Adamson away, he is replaced by Shaun Green.

“We are ready to go again as the game was rained off last week. Confidence remains high, with Seaham Harbour struggling at the bottom, but the team are fully aware that all teams are capable of winning on the day, regardless of league positions.”

Fourth-placed Willington, travel to Gateshead Fell to play at Eastwood Gardens.

Home skipper Thomas Pinkney said: “Rob Stacey, Michael Elliot and Malik Javed all return, but Andrew Porter is not available. Results are good, so the team remains positive for this testing fixture.”

Burnmoor welcome fifth-placed Burnopfield, with skipper Alec Linsley unavailable due to holidays, so is replaced by Mark Robson, while Paul Craig will keep wicket.

The club’s overseas professional Sami Niazi is on debut, an all-rounder from Pakistan with international experience. Gareth Harte is available from Durham duties, plus Steven Meek is returning from holiday.

Division One leaders Easington welcome second bottom Dawdon, and visiting secretary Steve Dent said: “It’s a must win game for us, we’re sitting at the bottom of the league while they’re at the top and it will be a tough game.

“So far this season we have been struggling, but hopefully we’ll turn our season around shortly. Ryan Consitt is unavailable, and Gary Innes returns.”

Horden entertain second-placed Seaham Park, and visiting fixture secretary David Moorhead said: “We beat the weather last week, and a mixture of determination and hard work paid off. There was also a great performance from Michael Walker who got a good 50 on a really difficult wicket.

“Other than one player missing, we’re pretty much at full strength, Thomas Ferguson is unavailable, so in comes James Taylor.”

Tudhoe are at full strength when they travel to Bill Quay and chairman Steven Thexton said: “We are hoping to bounce back from last week. We were all out for a very disappointing 25. You need a big score at Bill Quay with them having such a small ground, but we’re hoping to get ourselves going.

“They are a very competitive side under skipper Alan Mustard. If you beat them you have really played well and you have earned the win.”

Mustard remarked: “We are at full strength and they will no doubt provide stiff opposition.”

In the Go North-East Northumberland and Tyneside Senior Division, Lanchester visit Lintz and secretary Bob Gardiner said: “We have the same team as last week, where we got hammered in one of the only games that was played due to the rain.

“Lintz were only promoted last year, so it’s a difficult game on their home ground, as its small and they know how to play on it. We should win it, but we are definitely not taking it for granted and the team need to try and concentrate, to try to get back to winning ways.”

Shotley Bridge entertain champions Ashington and secretary David Milburn said: “We are missing a couple of regular players in Kieron Milburn and Ross Andrew, and Ian Archbold is in from the second team. We are up for the game, we’re at home and raring to go against the reigning champions.”

Leadgate welcome Consett and fixture secretary Gary Dixon commented: “It’s a bad week for us coming up for holidays, and we have few players unavailable from both the first team and the second team. However, it’s a good opportunity for the second team players to get experience from moving up to the first team, against neighbours Consett.”
