WILLINGTON stretched their magnificent winning sequence to 11 games when they hit Silksworth Rangers for six on Wearside.

The home side conceded just one goal in the opening half to Jason White but then the floodgates opened.

Adam Thacker doubled the lead before Silksworth goalkeeper John McLean was sent off. Dean Hannah took over and was beaten four times by Reece Marshall, Dean Hanson, Michael Yorke and White. In the last minute Michael Stafford claimed a consolation goal for Rangers.

Richmond Town stay second, four points behind, but they’ve played three games more than Willington.

Stephen Graham opened the scoring and Jamie Turnbull restored parity for the Plain. Graham was again on the mark only for Matthew Wilson to strike, and with time running out a draw looked the likely outcome but Keegan McDermott snatched the winner for Harton.
