DURHAM have beaten a Fly Emirates XI in Dubai in a Twenty20 game.

The Dynamos finished their 20 overs on 150-7, while restricting the opposition to 138-7 in their allotted overs.

Gareth Breese top scored with an unbeaten 48, with Mark Stoneman making 41.

There were two wickets each for skipper Dale Benkenstein and Liam Plunkett and the remainder shared between Scott Borthwick, Gareth Breese and Scott Borthwick.

Geoff Cook's side have also beat Surray twice - in two-day and one-day games.

He said: "There have been some good performances, a bit of excellence and a bit of rustiness, as you would expect, some good performances in terms of being able to make some forward planning so it's really been beneficial.

"But most importantly it's been great to get on the pitch and get some cricket in ahead of the season starting next week, it's been absolutely invaluable in that sense.''
