CHELSEA captain John Terry has been named England skipper.
Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain, is vice-captain.
Terry, the bookies' favourite for the job, was widely expected to be given the nod.
He replaces David Beckham, who stood down after England's World Cup exit.
Terry's first game will be next Wednesday's friendly with Greece at Old Trafford.
