ANDY Murray has cruised into the third round of the Australian Open with a comprehensive straight-sets victory over Spaniard Marcel Granollers.
Murray crushed his opponent, ranked 47 places below him in the world rankings, 6-4 6-2 6-2.
He broke Granollers twice in all three sets, and delivered a polished performance that gave further credence to suggestions that he could break his Grand Slam duck in Melbourne this month.
Murray will now face Jurgen Melzer in the third round, having beaten the Austrian in a gruelling five-set epic in last August's US Open.
